I believe you learn something each day. And the one thing you can ever be sure of is that you don’t know everything. It’s the one constant thing that I can count on. It may be something big or small, good or bad or indifferent. When everything goes awry or even when things are fantastic, I can look at what has happened and say “What did I learn from that?” There have been times when I’ve felt restricted by different life experiences, but figuring out how to learn from them and grow has been an ongoing theme for me.
I’ve created this blog as an outlet for myself and to help others that may relate. I learn more from others than I learn by myself. I’ve titled this blog Stifle Me Not as a reminder that it is not just about how an experience makes us feel, but what is learned from each experience to move forward. Feelings are important – they are like little red flags that are trying to tell us what to pay attention to in order to learn a lesson. Take from my ramblings what you like and leave what you don’t.
I’m a working mom of two kids. Divorced. Sometimes dating. Surviving breast cancer. I’m basically a daily work-in-progress.
What did you learn today?
