I believe you learn something each day. It’s the one constant thing that I can count on. It may be something big or small, good or bad or indifferent. When everything goes awry or even when things are fantastic, I can look at what has happened and say “What did I learn from that?” There have been times when I’ve felt restricted by different life experiences, but figuring out how to learn from them and grow has been an ongoing theme for me.
I’ve created this blog as an outlet for myself and to help others that may relate. I know I learn more from others than I learn from myself. I’ve titled this blog Stifle Me Not as a reminder that it is not just about how an experience makes us feel, but what is learned from that experience to move forward. Feelings are important – they are like little red flags that are trying to tell us what to pay attention to in order to learn a lesson. Take from my ramblings what you like and leave what you don’t.
I’m a “working” mom that is currently unemployed. I’m also separated from my husband and trying to figure out the next best steps for our family of two fantastic kids and two furry pups. I’m in one of the biggest transitions of my life at 38 years old. Let’s do this.
We’re each a daily work-in-progress. What did you learn today?
